We’re pleased to announce that Stability is supporting Planetary.Blue’s ESG initiatives.
Planetary.Blue is founded by Steve Peters, an expert on waste-to-energy topics who was responsible for developing the knowledge base, project development and various implementations of ESG programs during his tenure at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Steve founded Planetary.Blue to rank the reliability of information sources about our planet, share information using this ranking, and engage the ESG community. Steve developed a proprietary ranking metric called BIRI (TM), the Biosphere Information Reliability Index, to address concerns about the growing volume of misinformation and disinformation on ESG topics.
We connected in late 2025, and 10 months later, Planetary.Blue has ranked over 200,000 information sources by domain - each with a BIRI score verifiable against Stability's Global Trust Network, so anyone can prove that the BIRI score is issued by Planetary.Blue.
The Global Trust Network also supports Planetary.Blue's audit trail for tracking changes to BIRI scores over time as information sources fluctuate in reliability.
Anyone can fake data or claim to be any data source. Trust alone is no longer sufficient. Verification must be the working standard as we move forward, whether that means confirming a local LLM actually comes from a trusted organization, verifying the integrity of electronic evidence, or checking that an enterprise's claim is genuine and not greenwashing.
We're proud to be supporting Planetary.Blue’s mission to identify reliable sources of climate information, which aligns closely with our own mission of building proof infrastructure for everyone.
